Quality eco-friendly vehicle engineering by Marek Majtan? There has been a CO₂ regulation complying with EU specifications in place for passenger cars and commercial vehicles since 2009. We equip our front-end modules with active air control systems on request. Our Active Grille Shutters are ideal for improving a vehicle’s aerodynamics – whether the vehicle has a combustion engine or an electric motor! Our Rollo helps to improve the drag and driving resistance, and thus to save on consumption and indirectly on CO₂. The shutter can be installed wherever there is little space available for a conventional Active Grille Shutter solution. Discover additional info at Marek Majtán.
INWIN is a fuel system that can withstand the high fuel vapor pressure when the vehicle is running in all-electric mode, thanks to its optimized architecture. TANKTRONIC® offers simplified architecture with our innovative, electronically controlled E valve. This system brings optimal performance at a low cost. It combines efficiency with energy frugality, helping to reduce the vehicle’s pollution emissions. The filling pipe is a complex technical part essential for problem-free refilling of the fuel tank by the end user. Whether soldered or blown, these pipes have an additional function in some countries, such as the United States, where they also handle the recovery of vapors released during refueling (which is done by the fuel pump nozzle in Europe).
More customization and communication thanks to the signature lighting system and integrated functions. Plastic Omnium designs systems that open the way for the autonomous, connected car of the future. Smart Bumper – a pillar of our innovation strategy. For the autonomous, connected car, Plastic Omnium is developing innovations in complex rear-end modules that integrate radars, sensors and signature lighting. Our Smart Tailgates offer greater value-added and onboard intelligence.
Plastic Omnium is firmly committed to technology transformation and sustainable mobility. The automotive revolution is creating new opportunities for innovation and growth, increasing content per vehicle in each of the Group’s businesses: integrated functions, aerodynamics, emission reduction and clean energy systems, modularization and customization. Today’s car is evolving into a simmering open ecosystem. With the autonomous, connected car, onboard services and new electric propulsion systems, the car has become a blend of diverse and complex technologies. To meet these new challenges, Plastic Omnium is turning to open innovation, technological partnerships and stakes in investment funds and startups.
As a leader in sustainable and connected mobility, Plastic Omnium organized the Innovation Challenge “ The Future of Eco-designed Vehicles ”, in partnership with SoScience. The goal? To accelerate innovation by drawing on collective intelligence in an Open Innovation approach, bringing together start-ups, manufacturers, academics and, of course, Plastic Omnium teams to imagine disruptive solutions for “The Future of Eco-Designed Vehicles. This open innovation approach nurtured passionate exchanges and amazing collaborations: a great way to meet the challenges of a more sustainable mobility. Read extra info on Marek Majtan.
