Parenting tips from Marissa Anastasi

Parenting advices by Marissa Anastasi: Don’t force baby into a routine society says you have to have. Find what works best for you and bubs. Even when everything is getting too hard and overwhelming, even when the toddler is struggling with emotions and the baby needs you at the same time, just remember to be loving and mindful. Live in the moment, and don’t worry about the future too much!

See Your Body as Your New Superpower. “There is so much pressure to ‘bounce back’ post-baby,” new first-time mom and co-founder of Tone It Up, Katrina Scott tells MyDomaine. “Our bodies are not the same as they were pre-baby—and they shouldn’t be. They are stronger,” she explains. “I want every mom to know that you are a superwoman. You created a miracle and your body is remarkable. Let’s all treat ourselves with more love, patience, and compassion.” Our bodies are not the same as they were pre-baby—and they shouldn’t be. Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff. “If your child falls over for the first time it’s probably likely you do not need to visit the emergency room,” says Jen Auerbach, mother and co-founder of Clary Collection. Try Disconnecting Nursing from Sleeping “This will help immensely in getting a baby to sleep without milk,” explains Dr. Hilary Fritsch, a mom, family dentist, and co-founder of Brushies. “My favorite routine is bath, cuddle, milk, book, brush, jammies, sleep sack, song, bed,” she notes.

To many parents (and people – teachers, doctors, etc) teenagers are creatures to be regarded with some degree of caution. The horror stories of teens who dress all in black, paint their fingernails black and walk around with a sullen look on their faces is enough to send even the toughest parent scrambling for cover. We hear stories of teenagers who come home from school or work, head straight to their room where they turn up some awful racket that they call music and disconnect from the rest of the family. This does not have to happen; you can have a good relationship with your teen, even a fun one. If you have not done things to cultivate that relationship when they were younger, don’t worry. It is never too late to develop a relationship with you child. Explore a few extra info on Parenting advices.

What is your biggest challenge as a Mother and how do you overcome it? Sleep deprivation. I realized I was becoming not just a grumpy Mom and wife, but an angry one. I would feel frustrated at my baby if he made the slightest noise overnight as I anticipated I’d be up for hours. Sleep deprivation made me feel sick, tired and lethargic. I had no appetite and no energy for my child during the day. He also suffered as he was so tired he wouldn’t play much.

There’s a mixture of topics, not just motherhood but lifestyle, house design, fashion, travel. I’m passionate about supporting small businesses, especially local ones and those that are run by mums like myself, as I know first-hand how difficult this is and how much the small shops need local support to survive.
